While it took 2 hours to wait in line at the Border on the way there, immigration was a BREEZE! We were finished at immigration in under 3 minutes, I literally came out of the bathroom, to find Graham doing his paperwork!!!!!!!!! Miracle! We either end up waiting at the border for minimal time, and the office for ages, so I guess it's one or the other.
Once across, we hit our stride. We stopped at Target for some last minute stocking stuffers and the like, checked out a few baby things and then went to pick up the crib that we ordered. We LOVE the crib and wanted the exact one at Babies R'Us, but it is $350 more in Canada. WHAAAAAAAT? Needless to say, we were taking our money elsewhere... We also got the crib mattress, a WHOLE TON of clothes at Carter's, as there was a MASSIVE sale and a few gifts for others as well. All in all, we spent way over the daily limit, but didn't pay a penny in duty AGAIN! WHOO HOO!
Graham was so excited when we got home, that he immediately started setting up the crib. We put it together in less than an hour, with only a few bumps and bruises (on the crib, not us), and it looks gorgeous! We knew that waking up the next morning, with the crib in the babies room, was going to make it all feel real. We are keeping the blue that's in there and painting the room after baby is born, so that it can be gender specific. We need to find crib sheets and a dust ruffle and curtains, but I can't find quite what I'm looking for!
I'll take pictures of the actual room once it's done...but for now, this is our crib!
It's the Graco Stanton 4 in 1 crib. We love the colour and look of it and Graham is working this weekend on sanding down a dresser that we had in the room, so that we can stain it the same colour. Can't wait!!!!!!!!
